Michael Burger Offstage

Welcome backstage.

Consider this the backstage pass: less corporate, more personal, occasionally involving beans, and probably one or two things I should have labeled better in 1994.

No suit and tie.

No corporate agenda.

Just the fun stuff — personal stories, old clips, lockdown experiments, family recipes, favorite cars, showbiz detours, and much, much more as I keep digging through the archives.

You’ll find the car I drove in high school, Frank Sinatra’s very specific relationship with Jack Daniel’s, my dad’s chili recipe, and a kitchen tour where I share some of the tips I picked up cooking more than 400 recipes on morning television.

And if you’ve ever wondered whether I missed my calling as a QVC host, watching me improvise a sales pitch for a dictionary may answer the question.

I’ll keep adding to this playlist as I find more clips, old show moments, personal stories, and the occasional VHS tape I forgot existed.

For anyone under 30: VHS was how we watched video before everything lived on your phone. It was a plastic cassette the size of a sandwich, the picture was questionable, and before you returned it, you had to rewind it — because civilization had rules.
